Flower Apron for Storage **Faber-Castell & Canvas Home Basics**

I wanted to create a little decorative piece for my daughter's room, and when I saw this cute little apron from Canvas Home Basics I thought of how those pockets are great for storing things and perfect for a wall decor item!!

I used the wonderful Canvas Home Basics Server Apron, Hot pink rope, and Hot Pink flower with the amazing Gelatos from Faber-Castell in various pink and purple colors (Bubble Gum, Lavender, Metallic Grape, Peach, Raspberry, Grape, Watermelon, Guava, and Metallic Melon) with the wonderfully New Stipple Brush in the Tropical collection that was perfect for blending the Gelatos with water onto the canvas surface.  I used a punch shapes flower and the center of the flowers, then just kept adding more layers around each center until the entire apron was filled up.

I coiled the ties of the apron around to make roses and tied the pink rope under it, then "painted" it with the gelato colors.

I have all these headbands, bracelets, hair ties, and other little bits and bobs my daughter collects and loves to wear but no good storage solution to find them easily.  The pockets of this apron are perfect to hold these little pretties she has.

The bracelets, headbands, mirror, and other little bits all fit in the pockets (and still room for more) and the bows all attache to the sides to you can see them easily.  I then added her name in chipboard painted with Metallic Melon Gelato and outlines in a purple pen.

What a fun way to store bows!!

My daughter loves this as it is all her favorite colros (pink and purple), but you could easily make this more masculine with star shapes, circles, and take away the flowers and change up the colors to ones your little ones love!!

I have hung this up in her room on the wall, but it could also work on the back of a chair, side of a dresser or table; the possibilities are endless!!
